Sing songs for your Secret Santa and send it to them via YouTube in this online, international gift exchange for the holidays!
NEEDED:
A camera (to record videos).
An internet-ready computer, smartphone, tablet or other device (to upload and send videos).
A YouTube account (to upload videos to).
An Elfster account, or Facebook account (to participate in the gift exchange).
Knowledge of time zones (HINT: you can Google it!).

A love for singing or music and some crazy Christmas spirit!
OPTIONAL:
Professional-quality singing, dancing and acting skills.
Method of "performing".
HERE'S WHAT TO DO:
1) RSVP by accepting invitation (or by clicking on the Sign-Up link, located on the top menu), registering for Elfster.com and joining the group/gift exchange.

Write two "wild card" songs which you like.

3) Once you've been matched with someone, MAKE A VIDEO of you singing one of the songs on their wishlist. You can do this in the following ways:
a. Find a Karaoke version of a song that matches your Secret Santa's favorite artist, band or Broadway show online (YouTube will have options) and record yourself singing the song using the online video clip as backing:
b. Find the song that matches your Secret Santa's favorite song, Christmas song or "wild card" songs and record yourself singing along to the song :

c. Learn how to play it on an instrument yourself and record yourself performing the song:
OR
d. Find a creative way to perform the song, such as finding live accompaniment, using Guitar Hero (props to Armand, RIP) or performing it as spoken word:
4) UPLOAD the recorded video to YouTube by 12AM Christmas Day, so your Secret Santas can see their gifts magically delivered to them (by Santa, of course...cough, cough) by Christmas morning. Please send a copy of the link to your participant and to karaokesecret@gmail.com (I will be making a playlist of all the videos shortly after Christmas).
***NOTE: Uploading onto YouTube can be a time consuming process. Allow yourself time to practice, perform, record and, especially, UPLOAD your video!
